Three minutes from the souks and five minutes from Essaouira’s beach and fishing port is Dar Rondé, a contemporary take on the traditional riad. Rounded white walls, Berber doorways and stone floors.
Designed by Maria Pergay, the house is spread over three floors with two large en-suite bedrooms, one kingsize, one twin, a private sauna and two secluded terraces (one in the middle, one on the roof).
A palm filled courtyard greets you as you enter the house and floor to ceiling glass walls leading into the entertainment room with a traditional beldi ceiling and the salon with long sofas and a spacious dining area.
Private cook: On your first evening, house chef, Kabira will prepare a welcoming, complimentary tagine to restore you after your long journey here.
Every morning, breakfast is provided (included in the price); breads, omelettes, yoghurt, fruit salad and traditional Moroccan delights. Should you wish to dine-in on other days, Kabira will prepare meals for you at an additional cost.
